How can hospitals work together to reduce nurse turnover?

Hospitals can work together to reduce nurse turnover in several ways. The first suggestion would be to start a mentorship program of veteran nurses helping newer nurses. By doing this perhaps the newer nurses would be aware that the job gets better, easier, less stressful; or perhaps ways to cope with the tribulations of the job. This would also help nurses who have been in the workplace longer to remember the freshness and excitement of being a nurse.
