The rate of advancement of biotechnology is a hot topic... it is of great economic, scientific, and ethical interest. Where one's personal opinion stands is often related to personal biases and beliefs. Some religious practices do not ethically agree with biotechnology for example (see http://www.csmonitor.com/2001/1127/p10s1-comv.html). I tend to be a fence-sitter; it is difficult for me to take into account a lot of information about a particular topic and agree with one side or the other. I will leave it up to you to decide whether you think the advancement of biotechnology is moving too quickly. I do, however, have lots of relevant information to help you answer this question.
