? Does architecture differ from the other creative mediums discussed in this course? How? Architecture is art plus - it must have a practical application, whereas other art does not need to be anything other than pleasing or thought provoking to the viewer. It is a combination of arts, though, but more of a human based purpose. For example, a sculpture can be massive, serve no practical purpose, but it is art - a building must combine the art of the necessity with the art of the aesthetic.
