What is the first and third quartile.
What is the second decile and the eighth decile.
What is the 67th percentile.
A quartile contains ¼ of the observations. Similarly, a decile contains 1/10, and a percentile contains 1/100.
There are 30 observations, so the second quartile (the median) can be found by splitting the lists into two groups of 15. The middle number of the first group of 15 is the 1st quartile value. The middle number of the second group of 15 is the 3rd quartile.
The 1st quartile is 34 and the 3rd is 50.
