Sociology as an important social science for governments & human institutions (businesses, hospitals, organisations). Measures for development, protection, interaction & improvement of cities & nations are based on sociological studies more often than not & governmental policy makers look to sociologists to study the best possible ways in finding solutions for social problems (i.e. homelessness, poverty, racism, crime). In the United States, sociological research is carried out to provide provides educators, planners, lawmakers, administrators, developers, business leaders, etc. in finding solutions to social problems to arrive at rationale & public policies for actions to take. Management Science utilizes sociology for understanding organizational behaviour. Sociology as a field of study is closely related to anthropology, criminology, political science, social sciences, economics & psychology.
