There are a myriad of problems with the current welfare system that need to be addressed, the issues can't be entirely outlined in one summary, but I will provide insight into the most pressing issues that need to be addressed to correct the current dismal welfare system that exists in America. First and foremost, the people most impacted by poverty are currently the least likely to benefit from the current system because of all the bureaucracy and waste associated with a system that is simply too large and unable to vet itself. To attempt to change this situation, the total annual welfare costs and projections for how much money should be allocated toward welfare should be included within the President's annual budget. Under this tutelage, there would be more oversight given toward ensuring that the money that is spent on welfare is allocated toward the most vulnerable and is accountable.
