Comparing and Contrasting Wicca and Christianity

Interesting project! Have you set up an interview with a Wiccian yet? First, let's look briefly at what the assignment is asking for, and then look at some of the comparisons you can consider for Christianity and Wicca.

1. I need to compare and contrast the similarities and differences between two religions. I have chosen Wicca and Christianity for this project. I will attach further details:

I. Submit your World Religions Report. For this project you will choose a religion that is not your own and then visit a place of worship and interview a person of that faith. You will report your findings in an informative 2000-2500 word paper. In addition to the site visit and interview you will compare and contrast this religion with at least one other religion
you are familiar with through this class.

You have made a good start and choose two religions. My understanding is that Christianity is your religion you choose from your course material. You are asked to visit and interview someone from Wicca. You should prepare some interview questions of the information that you want to collect, contact someone from the 'other' religion, tape the interview, transcribe it, and then report the findings in #3 section of your project. Taping the interview helps you to remember the information and/or you can take field notes following the interview. Either way, you will refer to these notes when writing up your summary. You will need to do this.

You are also asked to compare it to another religion. I can help you with this section. However, you will need to use you information from your interview. You might be asking questions about their belief in God/higher power/ultimate reality; salvation e.g. what do you have to do to have a good life/afterlife; belief in the afterlife e.g. where are we going, what is it like. Who is there, etc; religious beliefs and practices, e.g. how do we get there; creation ...
