What is Your Vision for America?

According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, there were over 40,000 suicide deaths in the United States in the year 2014. Of that number, 4,600 were teenage suicides. Every day, 1,575 teenagers try to end their lives of which 12 are unfortunately successful in going through with this. An alarming 20% of high school students have seriously considered suicide. Thirteen percent of teenagers actually created a plan to carry out their suicidal thoughts. The average number of youths who receive medical care for self-inflicted injuries is 157,000. The common methods of teenage suicide are firearms (45%), suffocation (40%), and poisoning (8%). My vision for America is to change the disturbing number of suicides for our youth.
