Solution Summary

Psychology is commonly thought of as an educational applied discipline involving the study of human and animal mental functions and behavior. There are three types of design that may be used in aiding psychologists determine treatment, obeservation, experimental, and case design. Research has demonstrated this to be true, but there are a lot of other factors that may also be used in determining treatment. In my opinion, all of these, observation, experimental and single case design all help psychologist make statements regarding treatment, but it is actually a lot more complicated and much more in determining efficacy can be determined through experimentation.
