Biological Life Events
The first biological life event was coming upon puberty. The second life event would be when I started to experience panic and anxiety associated with a chemical imbalance in my brain. The third biological life event would have to be when I had a child.
Adolescence is a transitional stage of physical and mental development of the human being. This occurs between childhood and adulthood. I began to gain weight and develop acne. This made me very self-conscience and I began to distance myself from my parents. This is a normal part of the development process with adolescent girls and boys. I began to view my peers and submit to peer-pressure. It was very important to me to be socially accepted and this is when I became more outspoken and began to poke fun at classmates to deflect the imperfections I felt about myself.
The second biological life event was when I was about 14 years old just after I began puberty. I began to experience panic and have attacks of fear. This was directly related to the changes in my body at the time and the added stress of my parents' separation and their growing dependency on alcohol. I began to experience panic attacks over the next two decades and had to seek help from the medical profession in order to keep them under control.
