Perception "involves higher-order cognition in the interpretation of sensory information" (Ablongman, 2013, p. 72). Perception makes sense of the world around us by using information such as that gained from sensory information, past experiences, and physical memory. It is how we interpret the behaviors and actions of others as well as how we look at the same situation differently than someone else based on the above mentioned information.
