As you briefly explain why evidence-based practice is necessary, and who benefits, I strongly feel that it attempts to unite practitioners and improve overall quality. I also see it as a way to ensure that accountability is reinforced.
In terms of its strengths, I see it as very logical and rational. It also provides an attempt at unification as it offers shared vocabulary and concepts. I feel that it is positive since it embodies a strong research basis and also ensures ethical validation as it also focuses on patients' values, styles, characteristics.
