Why do polarization mechanisms increase with frequency in the following order:

    Space charge/interfacial polarization (low frequency)

    Dipole polarization

    Ionic polarization

    Electronic polarization.

Polarization means some movement (or displacement) is involved. The time of displacement depends on mobility (speed), i.e., surrounding medium, and entity size dependent. Also, time taken depends on the distance to be traveled. Based on these data, if you estimate time of re-orientation, this gives you a clear idea which polarization will occur or not within time period of external field time period. If time taken in re-orientation >> rate of change of external field, obviously there will be no re-orientation.
