Solution: As the charge on the infinite plane is +ve, the surface of the infinite conductor (plate) nearest to the plane charge will have -ve charge induced on it (charging by induction) with a density η C/m2 and the far surface will have +ve charge induced on it with the same charge density (see fig. below).
