A new cereal called Toasties is to be marketed by the Ajax Corp. The required ingredients show that to each box of Toasties must be added at leaset 16 units of vitamin A and at least 20 units of vitiamin B. These vitamins are available in two commercial supplements. The cost per pound for supplement one is $60.00 and the cost per pound for supplement two is $40.00. A pound of supplement one added to each production batch of Toasties will provide 1 units of vitamin A amd 2.5 units of vitamin B to each box. A pound of supplement two added to each productions batch of Toasties will provide 2 units of vitamin A and 1 unit of vitamin B for each box. How can Ajax satisfy these minimum vitamin requirement while keeping the cost of supplementary ingredients at a minmum.
