    D = SQRT ((X2 - X1)2 + (Y2 - Y1)2)
    = SQRT (81 + 16)
    = SQRT (97)
    = 17.5

    MIDx = (X2 - X1)/2
    = (-3 - 5)/2
    = -4

    MIDy = (Y2 - Y1)/2
