B= { 20, 19, 18, 17}

3. A= { Larry, Moe, Curly, Shemp}
B= { Posh, Sporty, Baby, Scary}

Are the sets equal? Justify your answers.

1. { e,f, g, h}= {f, h, g,e}

2.{16, 18,20,22,24} = {18, 20,,22,24}

3.{4,4,11,11,17} ={4,11,17}

Answer: Yes. Both A and B have the same number of elements and thus can build a one-to-one correspondence.

2. A= { 17, 18, 18, 19, 19,19, 20, 20, 20, 20}, B= { 20, 19, 18, 17}
Answer: Yes. After removing the duplicates, A = {17, 18, 19, 20} and B have the same number of elements

3. A= { Larry, Moe, Curly, Shemp}, B= { Posh, Sporty, Baby, Scary}
Answer: Yes. Both A and B have the same number of elements.

Are the sets equal? Justify your answers.

1. { e, f, g, h}= {f, h, g,e}
Answer: Yes. Both sets have the same elements e, f, g, h.

2.{16, 18,20,22,24} = {18, 20,,22,24}
Answer: No. Left set has 16 and right set does not have it.

3.{4,4,11,11,17} ={4,11,17}
Answer: Yes. After removing duplicates, left set = {4, 11, 17} which is exactly the same as the right set.
