    The picture is just of a square 3/4 of the square is shaded if I can get help with that information thank you you will not be able to see the picture of the square.
    1. Area of a square. Find a polynomial A(x) that represents
    the area of the shaded region in the accompanying figure.

    ------------------X--------------------
    3 THE SAME GOING DOWN 3 AND X

    ONE THIRD OF THE SQUARE IS SHADED

    2. Compounded semiannually. P dollars is invested at annual
    interest rate r for 1 year. If the interest is compounded
    semiannually, then the polynomial P(1+R/2)2
    represents the
    value of the investment after 1 year. Rewrite this expression
    without parentheses. Evaluate the polynomial if
    P = $200 and r = 10%

    (1) If the given square has a side of length x, and if 1/3 of the square is shaded, then the polynomial for the shaded area

    is A(x) = x^2 /3

    If the given square has a side of length x, and if 3/4 of the square is shaded, then the polynomial for the shaded area

    is A(x) = 3x^2 /4

    (2) The expression is P(1 + R/2)^2 = P[1 + R + (R^2 /4)] = P + PR + (PR^2 /4)

    The value is 200 + 200(0.10) + (200 * 0.1^2 /4) = $220.50.
