I dont' think that drug use was more prevalent in past decades. I think drug use is more prevalant today. Many drugs can be hidden through the use of other natural substances if given the opportunity. Marijuana use, for example, can be cleaned out of your system very quickly. I think that people are coming up with ways to hide the fact that they are using illegal drugs. They have learned to make it look like something else is wrong with them or learned to act appropriately after using the same. I think that in the past, people could not hide their drug use as well as they can today. Further, so much odd behavior is accepted in today's society, that people tend to look the other way and not suspect drug use immediately.

I think that other cultures view drug use differently, depending on the country. Some countries may think that any drug use is essentially ridiculous and all forms should be banned. Other countries may believe that some drug use is okay, and therefore allow it to be legal. For example, in some countries using marijuana is completely legal, and does not require a ...
