How important is the impact of the death penalty on our culture, how do you feel we are viewed among other free world countries?
4. If everyone in society agreed on everything, do you believe that society would lose its sense of identity?
5. Society has also changed in general on appropriate methods to raise children? In the past, it was not uncommon to spank kids even in public if they act out, in fact, if a child acted out it was expected that the parent discipline the child. Nowadays, its likely that the police may be called if this happens. Although, abuse is never good, do you think that society views in regards to disciplining children has changed for better or for worse? Are children better protected today or not

Yes. I believe all types of criminal justice professionals do participate in some type of scientific research. For example, a police officer or detective uses deductive reasoning. They will also try to fit the puzzle pieces together and go through the research method process. First they will make an observation of the case. Next, they will form an hypothesis. Then, they will try to see if the evidence collected fit the hypothesis. Finally, they will draw a conclusion based on the evidence. Crime scene investigators do the same thing. Through their observations, they can quickly draw their own hypothesis, see if the evidence fits and draw a conclusion. This can also help them figure out which type of evidence should be collected or if anything is missing to help the evidence fall in to place for the hypothesis to be true.
