Good Afternoon,

Today, I will gladly help you with your assignment requirements.

First of all, and hoping it is of any help, I invite you to search the information required with some conditional options and with some twerks to find specific information and specific type of documents. For example:

1) "death" AND "pregnancy" AND "marriage" AND "Nursing Practices" AND "India"
2) "Alternative Practices" AND " pregnancy" AND "India" filetype:pdf
3) "Nursing Related Practices" AND " death" AND "India" filetype:pdf
4) "alternative" AND "Nursing" AND "Practices" AND "India" filetype:pdf
5) "Traditional Medicine" AND "Complementary Medicine" AND "Nursing" AND "India" with or without the filetype output

Additionally and before we go more in depth into what you are looking for, it is important to define the following concepts:
Traditional Medicine (TM): the sum-total of the knowledge, skill and practices based on the theories, beliefs and experiences indigenous to different cultures, whether explicable or not, used in the maintenance of health as well as in the prevention, diagnosis, improvement or treatment of physical and mental illness. (Yojana, 2019).

Complementary or Alternative Medicine (CM): a broad set of healthcare practices that are not part of that country's own tradition or conventional medicine and are not fully integrated into the dominant healthcare systems. (Yojana, 2019).

Being said that I found the following information based on the requirements specified above.

Almost every civilization and culture had developed their own system for curing, treating and preventing diseases, though the approaches and perspectives vary upon the culture and civilization. In ancient India, male nurses staffed early hospitals and women served as midwives and nursed ill family members, but still India is considered as a rich culture of TM & CM's hereafter used interchangeably through the course of time.

Talking a bit about the evolution of medicine since antiquity, it is well known that Indian Medicine has its foundations around 3000 BC, with the beginnings of Ayurveda practices. We shall never forget that for Indian Medicine, its golden period was between 800 BC to 600 AD, a period which coincides with widely accepted authorities in Ayurvedic medicine, such as Atreya, charaka and Sushruta.
