Medicare managed care plans are offered by a private company that contracts with Medicare to provide all of Medicare Part A (hospital services) and Part B benefits (health care provider services). They are run as an HMO where you can only go to doctors, specialists, or hospitals on the plan's list. The plans must cover all Medicare Part A and Part B health care and some have prescription coverage.
