Medicare is one of the most widely used government insurance programs. Many individuals who are eligible for Medicare choose to enroll in a Medicare-managed care plan. Medicare managed care plans are offered by a private company that contracts with Medicare to provide all of Medicare Part A (hospital services) and Part B benefits (health care provider services). They are run as an HMO where you can only go to doctors, specialists, or hospitals on the plan's list.
