    What is intrinsic motivation?
    Intrinsic means 'internal', this kind of motivation refers to the motivation to engage in certain activities for its own sake. A student who is intrinsically motivated will work on a task because they enjoy it.

    Intrinsic motivation is related to 'relevancy' and therefore a student will be more motivated to learn about a subject which is more relevant to them.
