Adults in the middle age undergo changes in declining seeing and hearing. Their height also becomes shorter through the years. Hair becomes gray, bodies start to sag, fat is redistributed, shape of the body changes, skin starts to wrinkle, and teeth are yellowing. Because of these changes, some adults try harder to appear to look younger by dying their hair, plastic surgery, taking heavy vitamin doses, and joining exercise programs.
During these years, their main health problems are cardiovascular disease, cancer, and menopause. Stress might also affect their health and behavior. More and more women are going to their gynecologists for check up to prevent breast cancer and other related diseases. Others in their menopausal stage consult doctors and psychologists for advice on how to handle symptoms of this challenge. Those who live stressful lives try to do activities that relieve stress, take anti-stress medicines to cope up with the results of stress from work and from daily challenges.
