1.Identify the characteristics, and their use, of the ADDIE Instructional Design Model.
2.Identify the characteristics, and their use, of the Dick and Carey Instructional Design Model.

Note: Include discussion of how you determine the learning needs of your students using both models. Also consider how the model's effectiveness is determined.
3.Compare and contrast the ADDIE and Dick and Carey ID models.

Note: Include discussion of how you would determine which model yields the best results for your audience. Be sure to justify your response.

Note: Include discussion of how you determine the learning needs of your students using both models. Also consider how the model's effectiveness is determined.

1.Identify the characteristics, and their use, of the ADDIE Instructional Design Model.

The ADDIE model consists of five phases which transition into the subsequent phase.

These 5 phases are: Analysis > Design > Development > Implementation > Evaluation.

In the Analysis phase, the goals and objectives are laid out and the instructional problem is outlined. In addition, the learner's skills and knowledge are made clear. Determining the learner's needs can involve: short quizzes, introductory questions, training videos and observation in class.

In the Design phase, a logical and orderly method is utilized to plan the lesson and instructional strategies. This involves considering assessments, course content, subject matter and teaching instruments.

In the Development phase, the course content is created, reviewed and revised by programmers and testers.

In the Implementation phase, the instructors and learners undergo a training process. Instructors are trained on course content, learning outcomes, delivery modes, and testing. Learners are trained on new technological tools. All the necessary software is also prepared and ...
