Historical research is needed for doing a comparitive study of the history and development of two different schools. this form of research would cite factors such as instructional trends, past events and any changes over time. Correlational research compares 2 variables, so it is also best to use that when doing a comparitive study. Several sources of data, primary and secondary, can be used such historical documents, books, objects, school websites, textbooks etc. When doing this type of study data collection should be the primary focus.
