The Georgia Department of Education's Office of Technology Services, which is a subsidiary of Georgia State Boards of Education offers the ability for students to attend a Virtual School online. This is an effective e-services initiative because it provides access to students that would potentially be barred from attending classes or have fell behind in their studies. The Program is effective because it is accredited and works in collusion with schools and parents of students ranging from middle school and high school students across the state. The program is teacher led in a virtual classroom environment consisting of an online media center and guidance center to assist students with their online course experience.
