Totalitarianism is all about control so I guess you can understand how an artist must have felt in the days of war. Not being able to express or not being able to see other art. The only thing that the artist saw in those day were war and depression. And it inspired most artist to paint very graphic paintings and the reason for this is because they could not get outside their own environment to be exposed to other things. Explain.
