//Lean system is a method of reducing wastage in production. Waste is created in the manufacturing process when the production is uneven and undistributed. In the following context, we shall come across whether the lean system is incompatible with mass customization and flexible manufacturing or not.//

It is true that when lean system is applied to the manufacturing process, it reduces wastage, thus, it stands out to be compatible with the concept that with mass customization and flexible manufacturing, wastage can be reduced (Bowersox, Closs & Cooper, 2012). This can be illustrated with the help of certain real-life examples such as the lean system at a supermarket, where the self-checkout process is applied, and goods are automatically scanned. Next example is that of Disney World, where Dumbo, the flying elephant ride is done in batches. Boarding for the ride is done at one end and ends at the other. It reduces the wastage of time and is the best example of the lean system process.
