It can be difficult to get the right people on board to approve an implementation plan if you have failed to take adequate steps in your strategic planning. It is crucial to have as many people as possible weigh in on the proposal and feel included in the planning, so that they have bought into the plan and want to see it implemented. If the appropriate personnel have not been "pre-sold" on the idea it will be difficult for them to understand the need or reasons for the plan. This action should be taken early in the proposal's conception so that more people feel a sense of ownership to the plan.
