The company is known for its innovation. The company's mission statement is 'To solve unsolved problems innovatively'. During the past decade the company has added layers of management in an attempt to increase control over its diverse activities. These organizational changes improve control and have been made with the objective of increasing its profitability. However, these changes are not fully aligned with the mission statement of the company. The mission of solving unsolved problems innovatively is supported by a flat organization with teams. Such a structure promotes creativity and increases innovation.
