A primary difference between a vision statement and a mission statement, is the fact that a vision statement states the present status or condition that organization is in, and states where the leadership etc. wants the organization to go in the future in a broad sense. A mission statement on the other hand is a much more focused and direct statement that describes the main focus or goal of the business at any given point in time.
