The industry in which Google operates is Internet Industry. Google Inc. is a publicly operating company, which is headed by Dr. Eric Schimidt (CEO), specialized in internet searching and online marketing. In the year 1998, the company was primary incorporated as a privately held company (About Google, 2009). The main office of the company is situated in the Silicon Valley of California. The business produces most of its profits from keyword based advertising (About Google, 2009).

The cultural environment of Google Inc. is quite different from the present environmental situation. The culture of the company is very informal and not based on the stock prices (Lashinsky, 2007). According to the CEO of the company, although the firm has grown in a broad manner since 1998 but the cultural environment of the company develops a feel among all the personnel like they all are working in a small company (The Google Culture, 2009).

All the employees of the company take their lunch in the office café and do an opening conversation. It is the belief of Larry Page, co-founder of Google Inc. that there should not be a space between workers and food more than 150 feet (Lashinsky, 2007). At the lunch time all the teams and groups do an enjoying conversation with the other Googlers of different teams (The Google Culture, 2009). The cultural environment of the company is very favorable and provides almost all kinds of facilities to their employees. The workers can enjoy their personal work in the organization. Even the workers enjoy in the company more than their house and it is difficult for them to leave the company and go to home (Lashinsky, 2007).
