The company that I am describing is the one which I work for. It is a molded plastic toy making company. The organization has seven toy making units
and is located in Minnesota.

The basic legal issues are related to compliance with labor laws. The laws relating to wages and hours worked, safety and health standards, and laws related to health benefits, retirement standards, and worker's compensation, other workplace standards. Further, the company depends on contract enforcement in selling its toys through four large regional distributors. The other laws that impact the company are the tax laws, environmental regulations, and trade restrictions on certain molded toys.
The social factors are that as consumers of toys become more health conscious, they prefer molded plastic toys of high quality. The toys made by my company are perceived to be safe toys. However, the age for children that use molded plastic toys has declined to seven years or less.
The economic factors that affect the molded plastic toys making business include the general economic growth. If the economy is growing the demand for molded plastic toys is robust. Similarly, if the interest rates are low the demand for molded plastic toys improves. Similarly, if the unemployment rate is low the demand for molded plastic toys is strong.

The key managerial issues are that after the founder of the company has retired, the new CEO has not been able to assert his leadership on the personnel. The other managerial issues are weak supervision over work teams and lack of control over the work teams.
