For example, some argue that being introverted is learned and not a stable personality trait. Rather, the underlying source of introversion for people is lack of self-confidence and being overly self-conscious about themselves. It is easy for people to keep to themselves if they do not want to expose/reveal their true personality to people in fear of rejection or lack of acceptance.
