In compliance with BrainMass rules, this is not a hand in ready academic writing but is only guidance.

    1) Sampling means the researcher chooses a sample. This means identifying a population. The population is the group of people the researcher wants to study about. Next the researcher specifies a sampling farm. This is the group of people from which the researcher will draw his sample. After this, the researcher selects a sampling method. The researcher may choose a sample frame randomly or non-randomly. When sampling the researcher indicates the number of subjects or people he will require completing a viable study, and the method of selection of the sample. By using a sampling method, the researcher selects a smaller number of subjects which reduces investment in time and in money. Also, sampling enables the researcher to have a far greater control over the subjects. Further, the researcher can make statistical manipulations far easier when she is dealing with smaller data sets . This also helps avoid errors in data processing and analysis. Two broad types of sampling are probability sampling and non-probability sampling. Specifically, the types of sampling used are simple random sampling. In this sampling each ...
