Since monetary rewards are not feasible for the supervisor to motivate the clerical assistant, he will have to use a combination of various types of non-monetary rewards to boost the morale of the employee and keep his motivation at a high level and in turn, improve his productivity at the highest level. Since monetary rewards acts as a positive reinforcement, the absence of such rewards have to be adequately met by choosing suitable non-monetary rewards.
