    Let us keep in mind that the product being sold is not tangible, consumer's can't actually touch the policy. Therefore, the channel of distribution is the way the the company sells their product to the consumer.

    The direct channel would be that a person calls up the insurance company at their direct phone number of website, and purchases an insurance policy through them. There is no middle man or broker.
