How would you convene and run your meetings if you are based in the United States? Leading a multicultural team in India while based in the United States would call for the understanding of the business culture within India. From a starting point, it would be worthwhile noting that it would be prudent when convening the first few meetings due to the invisibility of culture. Culture diversity is present whenever business is conducted outside its normal local environment. Coming from a North American business culture, I would have to be sensitive as a result of the fact that my American culture promotes turning a blind eye to aspects such as race, gender and ethnicity. This is evidently not the case in India, where aspects such as gender and social class is a big issue when conducting business (Adler & Gunderson, 2001).
