I need your help with the following power points. We are a team of five and we are giving a presentation tonight. I need your help with what I need to say. I am including what our team wrote as well.

Power Points:

BRINGING BACK THE FANS PROMOS

FREE TICKETS
MEET THE PLAYERS
FREE STUFF
RIDE THE ZAMBONI (I don't know what zambone is, can you tell me what it is?)
SURVEY THE FANS

I need your help in the above (for example, I know I need to add information to each line, can you help me with this?).

HOCKEY MONKEY
(I don't know what this means, can you help me with this?)

HOCKEY CHICKS ARE HOT!
What do I say in this one?

RETURNING HOME
The same here what do I say

NHL BRINGING BACK THE FANS
I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO SAY HERE

EVERYONE LOVES A GOOD FIGHT
I don't know what to say here

And this is what the team wrote:

1.) Massive commercial advertising aimed at "everyone loves a good fight" Show commercials with Tricky Ricardo and Lucille Ball arguing, the 3 stooges slapping each other, old westerns with gunfights. WWII battle footage, etc. and show wicked hockey chicks and fights between each segment.

2.) Simultaneous commercials with a "prodigal son" theme with footage from old shows and movies, e.g. Lassie finding her way home, the 2 dogs and a cat from the movie Homeward Bound finding their lost family, the young son returning teary-eyed during Sunday church service in the Jimmy Stewart civil war classic Shenandoah, mixed with footage of hockey players taking the ice.

3.) Third commercial campaign highlighting the demographic that women make up a higher percentage of the hockey fan base than the other 3 major sports (football, baseball and basketball) and that "hockey chicks" are hot. The commercials would show 3 ad executives trying to come up with a pitch for the NHL to get fans to come back to the game. After two of the three executives keep throwing out really dumb ideas, free denture night, etc. the 3rd makes mention of the fact that women make up such a high percentage of the fan base and that, according to his own observations, hockey chicks are hot (cut to the stands at a hockey game and four model-quality women are high-fiving each other. The other 2 executives run with this and keep firing off other dumb ideas aimed at women until the 3rd guy interrupts and simply says, "Why are you two complicating this? I already said hockey chicks are hot. That's our campaign."

I need your help with this. Can you help me?

This is what the teacher wrote for our instructions:

'PR CHALLENGE'

A study group will be asked to present a case study. This case study is a public relations problem for the company or organization. You will come to class prepared to offer your point of view to the press and other concerned citizens. There will be a question/answer period following your presentation.

In many cases PR challenges is just that, "a challenge." It is up to your group to select the important elements and produce a coherent and comprehensible presentation. it requires deep thinking and time is often short...just like the "real world". Most students do a very good job of addressing the problem, and I have no doubt you will do equally well.

And this is the CASE STUDY
After a labor dispute, there is often an ill effect on fans of sporting events. The NHL has been on strike and missed an entire season. Your challenge is to win back hockey fans and try to make them forget all about the strike. (Let's assume the strike has been settled.)

How will you build excitement?

You can focus on a single team (Ducks/Kings) or as an entire league.

Thank you SO MUCH. Your HELP is GREATLY APRECIATED!!!

This is in response to the questions from QTA#102789

Your HELP is a lifesaver. Yes, if you can fit the information from my classmates into the headings or look for new information, either one is fine. And this presentation is to include all of the group's ideas. Our headings came from one of our team members. I found out that the "HOCKEY MONKEY' is a short music video found on the Internet. And the ZAMBONE is a big machine that will smooth the ice.

I appreciate your help with this and I am forever grateful! THANK YOU

Please refer to file attached, which is also presented below. Thanks for providing the additional information. I hope this helps and take care.

RESPONSE:

I suggested ways to fit the information from the case study under the slide headings. Places where I was unsure or where you need further research to complete the notes, I added question marks (???). I suggested moving the sixth slide to the end and to list the main themes of the campaign for an overview. Please see tentative presentation below.

Slide One: BRINGING BACK THE FANS PROMOS

- Massive commercial advertising

Slide Two: FREE STUFF: RIDE THE ZAMBONE

- Commercials of association
- "Smooth and free theme"
- i.e., ZAMBONE smoothing the ice, ice cold drinks, followed by hockey players on ice
- i.e., have players at the machine getting free cold drinks ???

Slide Three: HOCKEY MONKEY

- Internet commercials
- "Barrel of monkeys" theme ???
- Appeal to humor
- i.e., monkeys skating and playing hockey ????

Slide Four: HOCKEY CHICKS ARE HOT!

- Selective commercial campaign
