The first most important thing that a company should do to implement and use groupware systems effectively is to start and train people to collaborate before the technology is added. The reason is to build teamwork and collaborative culture. The groupware is just a tool to help them collaborate better. So team building activities should be undertaken before the groupware systems are implemented. In fact team building is a an important prerequisite for the introduction of technology. The reason why this is necessary is that groupware is software that facilitates a group of people working within the same system or application. if however, there is no teamwork it will be very difficult to use groupware effectively.
The second most important thing that the company should do is to change the culture so that it supports collaboration. There is need for a culture of collaboration in the company. The reason for this is that people learned to work towards shared goals. There is a need to determine identical objectives and teams that work towards an identical ...
