John was confronted by his supervisor Bill about nonwork issues, such as hanging out in a maintenance closet to rest. This situation is about a highly skilled and hard working employee who is having some issues and becoming unmotivated in his daily routine and work schedule. His teammates and supervisor have witnessed many things that are not normal for this employee, John. The following will cover what is the issue and what can be done to resolve it.
John has changed his style of work ethics. He has changed from displaying great work performance to lagging but finishing his assignments. The real problems seem to be in his tardiness, being disruptive, and showing disrespect for his fellow teammates and for the boss. It is as though he has lost respect for them. He also is disappearing from the work area to the point where he cannot be found for long periods of time. One of the worst situations was when John was found in a maintenance closet resting.
