I am preparing a presentation for work related to HR functions that could be used to illustrate human resources effectiveness using accident rates. I do not know enough about HR to understand how accident rates illustrate organizational effectiveness. Can you help? I need to know what HR functions are involved and how they relate to accident rates. In order to reduce these inflated costs and to uphold the production in the organization, reducing the injuries in the place of work has been an enduring and challenging field of concern for organization's HR Department. These injuries may be caused as a result of any unsafe activity or act on part of employee or as a result of unsafe working conditions or defective plant or shop layout, inadequate ventilation, etc. (Mamoria & Gankar, 2002).
