The basic objective of the management is to make the growing complexities - simple and render solutions to it so that a participative or an interactive approach of management can be followed. The role of the management is to give effective leadership, encourage the concept of work team, set in motion bilateral and multilateral channels of communication. It also ensures commitment and contribution from its people through an appropriate system of financial and non-financial incentives.

The four functions of management are planning, organizing, leading and controlling. These are considered as the vital ingredients of any organization and are essential. These four essential roles of management influence the on-going process of an organization. To describe these functions - Planning can be explained as the designing of policies and procedures, whether aimed for diversifying the business or extending its existing capacities or restructuring its divisions.
