Systems theory provides an explanation of the historical development as a dynamic process. The theory provides an explanation of all complex entities available within a through the use of models. A system can either be open or closed with regards to the manner in which it interacts with its environment to ensure the event of communication. Triple bottom line theory on the other hand is an economic theory. This incorporates the monetary and financial systems with an aim of providing an understanding of productivity optimization (Warmoth, 2006).
