An organizational culture is representative of the foundations, beliefs, systems, rituals and actions that a company withholds and shares and emphasizes upon with every existing employee, new employee or to the external environment in general. Each new employee in order to comprehend the organizational culture of its new company normally goes through a process referred to as 'entry socialization' which is a company making a new employee aware of how to adapt to the company and its structure (Ghillyer, 2009). Crucial to a company's organizational culture is its a.) history which builds awareness to current employees and shareholders with existing past knowledge of a company,b.) a company's environment which forms the stage with how employees interact with each other and c.) the company staffing process which opens the door for any new hires in regards to what new abilities can be brought to the table and how similar are new employees to already exisitng successful ones (Ghillyer, 2009).

Organizational development is an in-depth analysis of a company in order to facilitate organizational performance.
