Samsung has a long history of competing in the same target market as
Apple. It is not surprising then, that they will be their biggest rival in the commercialization of the newest mobile product, the iWatch.

According to Forbes, as it relates to wearable computing, Apple is not the only game in town. This past month, Google has come up with Google Glass, a smart eyewear, and has launched the advertising on its website to show how the device works and what it can do.

Direct competitors for the Apple iWatch are Samsung. According to Bloomberg.com "Just like Apple, Samsung is working on a smart wristwatch that it hopes to begin selling as soon as possible. We've been preparing the watch product for so long," Lee Young Hee, Samsung's executive vice president of mobile business, told Bloomberg. "We are working very hard to get ready for it. We are preparing products for the future, and the watch is definitely one of them.

Cheaper imitations of the iPhone made in China will ultimately flood the Market, although will not have the same features, advantages or benefits that the iPhone will. Samsung will be the only real competitor the Apple brand will have. Samsung will compete effectively with Apple on price. They will undercut the price, and still offer the similar features, advantages and benefits of the smart watch.
