In order to determine and evaluate the strategic initiatives of a company for environment protection, the case of Ford Motor is selected and its commitments towards the environment is discussed in the following section.//
Ford Motors Company is one of the well known automobile producers in the global auto mobile industry. It is a US based company having 65 plants globally with about 1, 71000 employees. The company has its strong presence in the international markets including Russia, America, Turkey and Asia. In order to be environment friendly, few significant activities are undertaken by Ford Motors:

An ECOnectic range of automobiles was launched by the company, which provided fuel efficiency without compromising with the quality of driving (Kadado, 2014).

Ford Motors came up with the Fusion Hybrid Cars as the environmental sensitive vehicles, which have the solar panels over the roof which soaks solar energy while parked outside, and uses it as the battery (Whitwam, 2014).

The company plant implemented 3 wet paint processes in their manufacturing operations leading to reduction in the process time by 20-25%
The company processed eight plants that implemented high-solids solvent-borne 3-Wet technology which have helped in reducing the CO2 emission 15-25% and volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions by 10%.
