Scientific Method and Ethics in Decision Making

We need to use the scientific method when trying to develop new products and how to solve problems in general. Yet, it is necessary to remain ethical when making decisions even if it's based on scientific method. However, they problem I see with the scientific method is "human nature" because we are not perfect. Please explain.
