    Ethical codes and practices are essential in the healthcare field for a number of reasons. I will highlight a few of those reasons. First, healthcare professionals are working with sensitive, private information concerning individual's health. According to Paine, Deshpande, Margolis, and Bettcher (2005), businesses should follow eight principles detailed in their Global Business Standards Codex.
